Also, it may be of interest to note that Vice President JD Vance spoke to NLC yesterday immediately before a panel I participated on. He mostly focused on affordable housing and talked a good bit about the important work that local governments do, but then he did circle back to immigration as a top administration priority regarding local governments and the federal government's expectations on cooperation.
