Our HR department asked if the suspension of wage garnishments for student loans applied to the city.  The reference was the following press release from DOE:
https://www.ed.gov/news/press-releases/secretary-devos-directs-fsa-stop-wage-garnishment-collections-actions-student-loan-borrowers-will-refund-more-18-billion-students-families

My question is whether this press release is to be relied on when suspending wage garnishments for student loans or if there is a more official directive out there that I am missing.  Any input would be appreciated.

Kindest regards,

Shannon K. Balmer
