Hello braintrust, and happy Friday.

Does anyone's organization offer employees an option for payroll deductions and then donation to charitable organizations, e.g., United Way or similar?  If so, do you have any template agreements between your city/town/county and the organization that you can share?

Our staff are considering whether to offer an option like this for donations to a regional services agency that would in turn make donations to individual smaller agencies (senior center, food bank, etc.) that have been affected by the pandemic.  We are exploring how much the City needs to take on in the way of ensuring that the donated funds are directed where intended, and what reporting / auditing requirements might be needed.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Best,

Bob
