Emergency FMLA and Emergency Sick questions--maybe for 3 p.m. conference call?

  1. I have recently heard that it is only the employer that is exempted from its portion of the social security tax and that the employer still has to withhold the employee portion-can anyone confirm or deny this?

  2. Would Emergency FMLA end when the schools are otherwise out for summer, i.e. no longer closed for Covid-19 reasons IF daycares are open?
