Dear IMLA COVID-19 Working Group: As we have discussed on a previous call, New York City has announced and enacted a series of Orders related to vaccination for City employees and contractors, and the Key to NYC program, requiring patrons and employees of restaurants, fitness studios, and certain cultural and recreational spaces to be vaccinated. I have had several requests for these policies / orders and am supplying what I have here. However, the order for all City employees to be vaccinated or get tested weekly has not yet been finalized, but the City has promulgated the requirement for employees in certain health care settings and employees and contractors in residential and congregates settings. I am providing all relevant links here and once I have the finalized order regarding vaccination / testing for City employees, I will provide it. Vax or mask. Applies to all city employees and contractors. Applies to newly hired City employees. Effective August 2. * Mayor Executive Order No. 75<https://www1.nyc.gov/office-of-the-mayor/news/075-000/executive-order-75> (recently updated to extend time to receive second dose in Executive Order No. 76<https://www1.nyc.gov/office-of-the-mayor/news/076-000/executive-order-76>) Vax or test - healthcare. Applies to employees in City hospital and clinical staff in City health clinics. Effective August 2. * Public Health Emergency Order from Commissioner of Health and Mental Hygiene<https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/covid/covid-19-vaccination-or-testing-staff-public-settings-072121.pdf> (via Board of Health) Vax or test - residential and congregate. Applies to City employees and contractors in these settings.
