Question for listserv: Have any jurisdictions (other than Ocean City, NJ) taken steps to suspend the use of properties for short-term rentals? If so, what steps were taken? If your jurisdiction has executed HOT collection agreements with any of the online hosting platforms (e.g., Airbnb, vrbo/HomeAway, etc.), was any pushback received?

areas near Ocean City, Maryland. I am not sure if their attorney is on this

A few jurisdictions on the Oregon coast have done so. The Oregon Restaurant and Lodging Association has made a bit of noise on the hotel limitations, but I haven't heard about any noise from the online platforms.
