Hi everyone- I am emailing this group as many of you have indicated a willingness to help communities impacted by the recent disaster based on your own experience in this area. I would like to try to set this up for either Friday or Monday afternoon. To try to accommodate our colleagues in Hawaii who have also recently faced hurricanes and volcanic eruptions, I'd like to schedule the call for either 2 or 3 pm on one of these days, but no earlier than that. Can you respond back to me directly (no need to reply all) with your preference for either Friday or Monday afternoon for this call. I am hoping to have as many of you on as possible who have experienced a similar disaster. What we did after Harvey, which I think worked well, was we identified the core group of "discussion leaders" and identified 5-6 major topics to go over and divvied them up between the discussion leaders. We then allowed opportunities from members on the call to ask whatever questions they have regarding the disaster response. Thanks for volunteering to help on this. Once I have enough of you available on a particular day, I'll circulate the day and time to you all and then alert membership of the call. We will probably try to record it as well so that people who cannot attend can listen later. Let me know if you have any questions.
